You can learn from anywhere with NEW Zoom classes at The Ridgefield Playhouse this summer!  Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actor Jeffrey Tambor returns with a new Zoom Workshop a?' Acting & Writing Through Improv on Tuesdays, July 28 a?' September 29 from 7 a?' 10pm. 

This summer marks the 10th season for Unexpected Stage Company, which will present The Few, a drama about the search for connection by MacArthur Foundation Genius Grant recipient Samuel D. Hunter (A Bright New Boise). The production will run July 11 to August 4 in the Fireside Room, an intimate 38-seat venue at the River Road Unitarian Universalist Congregation Building, located at 6301 River Road in Bethesda.

Local Ridgefield, CT talent combines with professional Broadway talent to bring an excellent performance of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT to the Ridgefield Playhouse. This adaptation of the Biblical account of Joseph, son of Jacob, is put to music in a way that sends positive messages while keeping the audience entertained.

Director Daniel C. Levine is excited to bring the Andrew Lloyd Webster musical JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT to the Ridgefield Playhouse. Broadway professionals will combine with local Ridgefield talent to bring what promises to be an exciting show!

Broadway comes to Ridgefield! The cast for the upcoming production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat has been announced by director Daniel C. Levine and it's chock-full of Broadway stars - Matt Bogart (Jersey Boys) is Pharaoh, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka (A Little Night Music) is Joseph and Christine Dwyer (Wicked) is the Narrator. The show runs Saturday, February 24th at 2pm and 8pm and Sunday, February 25th at 2pm at The Ridgefield Playhouse. Part of Ridgefield Magazine's Broadway & Cabaret Series, this is a unique and captivating concert production of this classic Andrew Lloyd Webber smash-hit Broadway musical!

The Ridgefield Playhouse Film Society's Director's Cut Film Series presents The Humbling, a dark, dramatic comedy lm directed by Barry Levinson and based on the 2009 novel, The Humbling written by Philip Roth. The film stars Al Pacino, Greta Gerwig, Dianne Wiest, Charles Grodin and Kyra Sedgwick.

On Sunday, July 10th at 6pm, the Ridgefield Playhouse Film Society "Documentary Films Series" will present Muhammad Ali: The Whole Story, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation's "TeamFox for Parkinson's Disease Research program."

The New Year is an opportunity to learn, create and rejuvenate. The Ridgefield Playhouse is offering to help patrons unleash the artist inside of them with their winter session of classes, and no experience is necessary.

Jerry Steichen, consummate entertainer and gifted musician who is Music Director and Conductor of the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra (RSO) will be on deck at Deborah Ann's Sweet Shoppe on Main Street during Holiday Stroll on Saturday, December 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Joining Jerry are RSO musicians T.D. Ellis with his fun bassoon, Rachel Handman on violin and Kathleen Theisen who will play four-hand piano duets with Jerry of favorite holiday music. An RSO raffle prize, with free entry, valued at $400 will be drawn at 1 p.m. by music man Steichen who will also sign autographs. 

The Ridgefield Playhouse Film Society Screenwriters Film Series brings actor Treat Williams and writer/director Robert Mrazek for a screening of the humorous and moving film “The Congressman” followed by a Q&A hosted by Ira Joe Fisher, on Friday, November 6 at 7:30pm.

It will be screened at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Wednesday, June 17, at 7:30 p.m. as a Ridgefield Playhouse Film Society Lost and Found Film Series event. Produced, written and directed by Brian Jett, the film stars Ed Asner, Kevin Hart, David Denman and Gillian Jacobs. Seven-time Emmy Award-winning actor Ed Asner and writer/director Brian Jett will be on hand for the Q&A on June 17th hosted by Emmy Award-winner Ira Joe Fisher. This event is underwritten by Cohen and Wolf, P.C. and The Ridgefield Press with media sponsor WSHU Public Radio Group.

Last night New York's elite came together with music legends for Caron New York's 20th Annual Gala Fundraiser at the elegant Cipriani on 42nd in New York City, NY. The event raised over a million dollars, all of which will be used towards charity recovery services. Caron's own Harris Stratyner Ph.D , Honoree's Frankie Valli and Denise LeFrak Calicchio were joined by Paul Williams, James Lipton, David Johansen and comedianStewie Stone. The Goo Goo Dolls Johnny Rzeznik was also honored but at the last minute was unable to attend.

Tonight, March 29th, A Bronx Tale actor Lillo Brancato will join Ridgefield Playhouse Film Society for a Q&A at their screening of Robert De Niro's directorial debut. Part of the 'Lost and Found Film Series', the evening celebrates the 20th anniversary screening of A Bronx Tale.
