Casting for American Ballet Theatre’s 2022 Fall season has been announced. Principal Dancers for the 2022 Fall season include Joo Won Ahn, Aran Bell, Isabella Boylston, Skylar Brandt, Daniel Camargo, Herman Cornejo, Thomas Forster, and more.

Programming for American Ballet Theatre’s 2022 Fall season, October 20–30 at the David H. Koch Theater, was announced. The season will be highlighted by the World Premiere of Christopher Rudd’s new work Lifted, and more.

Despite the challenges of a global pandemic, Ballet Idaho has leapt ahead in launching a unique trainee program which emphasizes individual mentorship alongside invaluable experiences of working and performing alongside Ballet Idaho company members to bridge the often-neglected gap between ballet student and company-ready professional.

Dancers from American Ballet Theatre, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will come together for two virtual company classes on Tuesday, June 2 and Thursday, June 4. Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Artistic Director Glenn Edgerton proudly announce a remarkable 2019-20 season featuring a world premiere by Kyle Abraham, a world premiere by Robyn Mineko Williams, audience favorite Decadance/Chicago by Ohad Naharin, and innovative works from Hubbard Street's repertoire by Crystal Pite, Rena Butler, and Peter Chu.

Hubbard Street Dance Chicago's upcoming Summer Series program will feature highlights from the company's recent repertoire, including work by acclaimed choreographers Brian Brooks, Resident Choreographer Alejandro Cerrudo and Crystal Pite. The program will premiere at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance in Millennium Park (205 East Randolph Street) on Thursday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m., followed by performances Saturday, June 8 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, June 9 at 3 p.m.  Tickets are now on sale.

The opening night of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago's two-week Return Engagement at the Joyce Theater, NYC was Wednesday 3619; and I was happy to attend. The first-week features works by Ohad Naharin (Director of Batsheva Dance Company, Israel) with DecaDanceChicago which included segments of Naharin's creations, having debuted between 1993 and 2011.

The William J. Cooper Foundation with the Department of Music and Dance at Swarthmore College present Hubbard Street Dance Chicago with Third Coast Percussion. The performance will be on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 8 PM in the Pearson-Hall Theatre in the Lang Performing Arts Center on the Swarthmore College campus.

Hubbard Street, a well-established Contemporary Dance Company presents an interesting collage of dance pieces that are demanding technique-wise yet so fluid and rhythmic they make it look effortless and fresh. I say collage because the evening painted a bigger picture through each piece, making it complete by the finish. The sixteen dancers are amazing physical interpreters of a feeling, a mood, an emotion, a vibe. They are strong, versatile and vibrant. The pieces by themselves are each complex, deep, bold, unique; with maximum controlled energy, extreme focus and inner and outer strength required, or rather, mandatory to perform them. That verbiage might seem a bit jumbled, but it's what I felt after seeing these dancers perform... (That's my stream-of-consciousness statement)
