Playwrights' Center and Venturous Theater Fund have revealed the 2023-25 Venturous Playwright Fellows: Harmon dot aut, with their play Tornado Tastes Like Aluminum Sting (in partnership with Spectrum Theatre Ensemble and the Contemporary American Theater.

Page 73 has announced 13 semifinalists for the 2023 Page 73 Playwriting Fellowship. The selected playwright will be Page 73’s 20th Fellow, honored during the organization’s 25th anniversary year.

Ucross's spring session is in full swing. From February 7 through June 3, 56 artists from a variety of disciplines will be in residence at the historic 20,000-acre ranch in the foothills of the Bighorn Mountains in northern Wyoming.

Leah Ryan's Fund For Emerging Women Writers celebrates ten years of awarding it's prize to women playwrights with 10 X 10: An Evening of 10 Minute Plays Celebrating Ten Years of Winners. DREAM HOU$E by Eliana Pipes, winner of the 2019 Leah Ryan Prize for Emerging Women Writers, 'Leah's FEWW' will receive a reading Monday November 18 at The Loft at Theater 511, 511 West 54th Street, in Manhattan. The reading will be directed by Kathleen Capdesuñer and feature Amandina Altomare, Emilie Battle, Amanda Borges, and Cindy De La Cruz. Alex Tobey will line produce and Hanako Rodriguez will stage manage.

Chester Theatre Company (CTC) will present Curve of Departure by Rachel Bonds in the historic Chester Town Hall, 15 Middlefield Road in Chester, MA, from August 8 - 18. The production is directed by Keira Naughton making her CTC debut.

PAGE 73 PRODUCTIONS has named Sanaz Toossi the 2019 Page 73 Playwriting Fellow. Selected from nearly 400 applicants, Toossi will receive a $10,000 award and an additional $10,000 budgeted for developing several new plays over the course of the year.

The American Playwriting Foundation, established to make annual grants to new American plays, has selected Harrison David Rivers for The 2018 Relentless Award, the largest annual cash prize in American theater awarded to a play.

(Philadelphia, PA) PlayPenn, Philadelphia's nationally recognized professional new play development organization, will hold its 11th annual New Play Development Conference from July 7 - July 26, 2015 at Drexel University in Philadelphia. The Conference, including three weeks of intensive work on six works-in-progress, will offer staged readings open to the public. The six selected plays and playwrights are:

Philadelphia Young Playwrights (PYP), in collaboration with Philadelphia's InterAct Theatre Company, will present four staged performances by winning student writers from the 2010 Young Voices High School Monologue Festival. The festival will end on February 6, 2010.
