If you need a prescription for winter blues, get to the Omaha Community Playhouse and laugh yourself red in the face with THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG. I dare you to not get caught up in its zany, madcap shenanigans. It is two hours of nonstop fun!

Fairfield’s a place where nothing ever happens, at least not since Billy Myers got that nasty papercut a decade ago. And with the exception of a pair of vain newscasters, a few fringe skywatchers, and a kooky grandfather living in a galactically fantastic past, most townsfolk are okay with their humdrum ways. Like it or not, though, the winds of change are about to descend on Fairfield faster than a delivery from the town’s famous Flying Saucer Pizza. A couple of love-struck teens report an alien sighting, and Fairfield finds itself in a frenzy. Luckily, the members of SAWPE (that’s the Society of Alien Watchers to Protect Earth) are selling tinfoil hats to help protect everyone. Even the president comes to this sleepy burg, but not everyone in town agrees with his plan to attack the space-traveling Zordonians. It’ll be up to a brave little girl and her unwavering grandpa to stop a war of the worlds in this ridiculously silly one-act comedy that’s out of this world! Billy McGuigan's company, Rave On Productions, will debut the first show in The Omaha Series this weekend with Hedwig and the Angry Inch, performing a limited run at The Waiting Room in Benson. The Omaha Series is made up of four rock-musicals performed in a variety of venues around the Omaha Area.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch will come to The Waiting Room Lounge as part of the Omaha Series. Hedwig features music and lyrics by John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask, and is directed by Kimberly Faith Hickman.

Who would ever think of creating a musical based on a carnival shooting gallery filled with the ghosts of presidential assassins? The idea is ridiculous; therefore, this show is ridiculous...ly entertaining!

The Guides Association of New York City (GANYC) is honoring for the 4th year in a row the best of the best in New York City as voted by licensed tourist guides.

The Tony Award-winning musical Ragtime will receive a one-night site-specific developmental concert on Ellis Island on August 8, 2016. An all-star cast of Broadway and Off-Broadway veterans including Olivier winner Laura Michelle Kelly, Tony and Grammy nominee Brandon Victor Dixon, Emmy winner Michael Park, Robert Petkoff, Shaina Taub, and five-time Emmy nominee Georgia Engel will perform a selection of songs from the American musical with music by Stephen Flaherty and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens. Sammi Cannold will direct the concert in anticipation of a full production in 2017.
