For 90 minutes last night Cafe Centro Cabaret in West Palm Beach Florida was transformed into the world-famous Troubadour nightclub in West Hollywood California as award winning vocalist Dawn Derow and guitarist Peter Calo  performed a powerful new show. Check out photos here!

Last night at Rose Theater The Mabel Mercer Foundation kicked off the 34th Annual Cabaret Convention and Broadway World photographer Conor Weiss was in the house.

The cast and patrons of The Mabel Mercer Foundation gathered with artistic director KT Sullivan at the Algonquin Hotel for an elegant after party celebrating the first night of the Cabaret Convention.

The Provincetown Cabaret Festival concluded its recent edition, highlighting artists who celebrate the art of cabaret. Doris Dear, 'America's Perfect Housewife,' the character created and played by actor Ray DeForest, brought her new show, 'Doris Dear's Gurl Talk: Slightly Sondheim' to the Cape. Jim Caruso’s Cast Party, which is about to celebrate two decades at the iconic Birdland in NYC, seems to be entering a Golden Age of entertainment! Over the past few months the room has been packed with audiences eager to cheer the impromptu open mic/variety show made up of Broadway performers, cabaret divas, jazzers, and a few acts impossible-to-describe!

This month at Pangea, the sensational Amanda Reckonwith, David Sabella’s madcap alter ego, continued to stoke the growing groundswell of excitement surrounding her return to the stage after 25 years of wasted opportunities.

Pangea, a vital incubator for new work crossing boundaries between theatre, music and elsewhere, welcomes back the American singer-comedian David Mills who emerges from a fruitful London exile (where he became a prominent comic voice) with a new Pangea residency starting with shows on Sat April 22 and 29, both at 9:30pm.  

When Dawn Derow and Sean Harkness first teamed up in 2011 to perform a duo cabaret show called Music 4 Two, she was a relative unknown on the NY cabaret scene, while he was a rising star musician having just been named “Outstanding Instrumentalist” by the Bistro Awards.
