Interview: Playwright David Goldyn's Having DADDY ISSUES


The west coast premiere of David Goldyn’s Daddy Issues opens on October 14, 2022, at the Complex in Hollywood.  David directs the cast of Hannah Battersby, Jonathan Fishman, Noa Lev–Ari, Sherry Michaels, Josh Nadler, James Seifert, Pamela Shaw and Solly Werner.

West Coast Premiere of DADDY ISSUES is Coming to the Complex in Hollywood


How far will a gay guy go to please his controlling Jewish parents? Charles Blondeau will present the West Coast premiere of an exuberant, off-Broadway screwball comedy inspired by a true event. Written and directed by David Goldyn, Daddy Issues opens on October 14 for a five-week run through November 13 at the Complex in Hollywood.

David Goldyn's Delightful Comedy DADDY ISSUES Comes To The Theatre At CSL


The Off Broadway hit Daddy Issues, written and directed by David Goldyn, is returning to South Florida after a short but successful stint at Boca Raton's Willow Theatre last March. The production will run from October 18th through November 3rd at the Theatre at CSL (Center for Spiritual Living) in Oakland Park.

FIDDLER ON THE ROOF Actress Replaces Daisy Eagan in Off-Broadway's DADDY ISSUES


David Goldyn Productions presents the World Premiere of DADDY ISSUES, a new comedy by Marshall Goldberg. Directed by David Goldyn, previews begin March 31 at Davenport Theatre with opening night slated for April 7. The production will now star Kate Katcher, who debuted on Broadway in Fiddler on the Roof opposite Zero Mostel and repeated the role of Tzeitel with Herschel Bernardi, directed by Jerome Robbins. She also appeared in Wonderful Town with Lauren Bacall and Two for the Seesaw directed by Judith Ivey. Katcher replaces Daisy Eagan, who leaves the cast to star in Wit in North Carolina.

David Goldyn Resigns From Rising Action Theatre


David Goldyn founded Rising Action Theatre in 2006 with its critically acclaimed and financially successful shows at a dance club in Wilton Manors called Boom. They were Southern Baptist Sissies (which featured orignal board members Harriet Bensman and Vicky Keller) and The Last Hairdresser (which featured original board member Steve Woolett.)
