Craig Pinder BIO

Craig Pinder has played many leading roles in London’s West End theatres. He was in the original cast of Les Misérables in London and played the key role of Jean Valjean at the Palace Theatre at a very early stage in its hugely successful worldwide run. He recently performed as Tevye in the Laurence Olivier Award Winning production of Fiddler on the Roof in London directed by Trevor Nunn with Musical Supervision by Paul Bogaev. Other London theatre credits include: Senator Carlin in The Best Man, Bee Doyle in Floyd Collins, Butts in Veteran’s Day, Parson and Dawn in The White House Murder Case, Banquo in Macbeth with Mark Rylance, Harry in Mamma Mia!, Max/Sheldrake/Cecil B. DeMille in Sunset Boulevard and Shem in Children of Eden.

Craig has spent seasons at the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal National Theatre and the Royal Exchange Theatre in the UK. He was in the Opening Season company of Shakespeare’s Globe in London with Mark Rylance. He has played various roles in repertory theatres both around the UK and the USA, and has made a number of film and television appearances.

Most recently he played the Father, Pierre and the Receptionist in Romantics Anonymous at Bristol Old Vic Theatre (built in 1766, the oldest continuously working theatre in the English-speaking world!) This production was due to tour the USA during 2020 but like so many other unfortunate shows, was cancelled due to Covid.

Craig is thrilled to be performing once again playing the role of Rev. Shaw Moore in Footloose at New Paradigm Theatre at the Black Rock Church in Connecticut USA!
