Chris Miller BIO

Chris Miller is an American actor, singer, and dancer who has made a name for himself on Broadway and beyond. Born in 1980 in New York City, Miller was raised in a family of performers and began his own career at a young age.
Miller's first major stage role came in 2002, when he was cast as Mark Cohen in the national tour of the hit musical Rent. He went on to perform in the show on Broadway, earning critical acclaim for his portrayal of the struggling filmmaker. Miller also appeared in the Broadway productions of The Phantom of the Opera and Mamma Mia!, showcasing his versatility as a performer.
In addition to his work on stage, Miller has made a number of appearances on television and in film. He had a recurring role on the series "Smash," which followed the production of a Broadway musical, and has also appeared in episodes of "Law & Order: SVU" and "The Good Wife." On the big screen, Miller had a supporting role in the 2014 film "Into the Woods," which was based on the popular musical of the same name.
Miller has also made a name for himself as a recording artist, releasing several albums of original music. His first album, "Chris Miller: Live at Joe's Pub," was recorded during a performance at the iconic New York City venue and features a mix of original songs and covers. Miller's music has been praised for its emotional depth and honesty, and he has been compared to artists like Jason Mraz and John Mayer.
Despite his success in multiple mediums, Miller remains committed to the stage and has continued to perform in a variety of productions. In 2017, he starred in the Off-Broadway play "The Burnt Part Boys," which tells the story of a group of young boys who set out to reclaim a coal mine that claimed the lives of their fathers. Miller's performance was praised for its emotional depth and authenticity, and he was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for his work in the show.
Most recently, Miller appeared in the Broadway production of "Waitress," which tells the story of a small-town waitress who dreams of escaping her life and pursuing her passion for baking. Miller played the role of Dr. Pomatter, a married doctor who begins an affair with the main character, Jenna. His performance was praised for its humor and charm, and he received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike.
