'Broadway & Happy Hour' Features Veterans of Radio City Music Hall, Disney and National Tours


TheatreZone will present its final "Broadway & Happy Hour" afternoon cabaret of this season featuring the cast of its current show, The World Goes 'Round, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 2 "outside the Zone" at the Moorings Park's auditorium, 120 Moorings Park Drive in Naples. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres and wine will be served prior to the performance. Best Of Broadway Featured In THE WORLD GOES 'ROUND At TheatreZone


Fans of the musicals Cabaret, Chicago and Kiss of the Spider Woman will enjoy the musical The World Goes 'Round at TheatreZone in Naples on April 25 through May 5. The show is a stunning review from the songbook of the multiple Tony Award-winning team of composer John Kander and lyricist Fred Ebb, who wrote these musicals and many others. The duo also scored several movies, including New York, New York, and wrote songs for Liza Minnelli and Chita Rivera. And the World Goes 'Round won Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Musical and Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical Revue.

Florida Theatre-Inspired Short Film, 50 WORDS Makes Orlando Debut


Written, produced, cast, and filmed entirely local to Florida, '50 Words' will screen at the 2018 Saints and Sinners Film Festival, part of MegaCon Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center. Inspired by her experiences in the regional Florida theater-scene, the 28-minute narrative romantic comedy was written, starred in, and produced by Sarasota, Florida-based actor Kathryn Parks. Mark Palmer, award-winning cinematographer and southwest Florida-based owner of Mars Vision Productions directed the film.

The New York Times reports that Gregory Itzin, most famous for his portrayal of Charles Logan in Fox's hit series '24,' will join the previously announced Norbert Leo Butz (as 'Jeffrey Skilling'), Stephen Kunken (as 'Andy Fastow') in the upcoming Broadway production of Lucy Prebble's 'Enron.' Itzin will portray disgraced Enron chairman Kenneth Lay.
