Mount Wilson Observatory, the place where humankind discovered its place in the universe, has announced the third date in its Sunday Afternoon Concerts in the Dome six-month series, to take place on Sunday, July 9, 2023. The performances are presented inside the singular vaulted dome of the 100-inch telescope. The concert series is curated by Artistic Director Cécilia Tsan, who is also its co-founder.

In addition to Irons,  Condor  season two also stars Constance Zimmer, Alexei Bondar, Isidora Goreshter, Eric Johnson, Toby Leonard Moore, Jonathan Kells Phillips and Rose Rollins, with Kristen Hager and Bob Balaban returning from season one.  

Acclaimed Australian actor Hugo Weaving joins a diverse cast of established performers and rising stars including Bojana Novakovic (I, Tonya, Birds of Prey, Instinct, Shameless, Satisfaction), Bob Morley (The 100), Heather Mitchell (Muriel's Wedding, Rogue, The Great Gatsby), Sarah Peirse (The Hobbit, Stateless), Celia Pacquola (Rosehaven, The Beautiful Lie), William Lodder (Wakefield), Shalom Brune-Franklin (Line of Duty) and Mitzi Ruhlmann (The Code).

Inspired by archival remnants of Martha Graham's “Immediate Tragedy,” a solo she created in 1937 in response to the Spanish Civil War, and in collaboration with composer Henry Cowell, the Martha Graham Dance Company, the Los Angeles-based Wild Up music collective, and The Soraya have created an innovative Digital Dance creation, Immediate Tragedy.

The ongoing collaboration by three major arts organizations—Martha Graham Dance Company, the Los Angeles-based Wild Up music collective, and The Soraya—will continue June 19 with the premiere of a digital dance inspired by archival remnants of Martha Graham's Immediate Tragedy.

Next up on The Players Club of Swarthmore's Main Stage is Annie, often called a?oeAmerica's Happiest Musicala??. With book by Thomas Meehan, music by Charles Strouse, and lyrics by Martin Charnin, Annie has won seven Tony Awards. Based on the Harold Gray comic strip' Little Orphan Annie,' Annie features all the hits you know and love including; a?oeTomorrow,a?? a?oeHard Knock Lifea?? and a?oeFully Dresseda??. In its opening show of the 2019-2020 season, The Players Club of Swarthmore presents Mamma Mia, the ultimate feel- good musical comedy. Mamma Mia is woven around many of ABBA's greatest hits, featuring music and lyrics by Benny Anderson and Bjorn Ulvaeus and book by Catherine Johnson. For the final show of the 2018-2019 season, The Players Club of Swarthmore presents Sister Act, the feel- good musical comedy based on the 1992 film starring Whoopi Goldberg . Sister Act earned five Tony Award nominations in 2011 including Best Musical Score with music by Alen Menkin (Little Shop of Horrors, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid) and lyrics by Glen Slater (The Little Mermaid).Sister Act was also nominated for Best Book of a Musical written by Cheri and Bill Steinkellner (Cheers) and Douglas Carter Beane(Xanadu and The Little Dog Laughed). wild Up, under the direction of conductor Christopher Rountree, is an adventurous Los Angeles-based chamber orchestra committed to creating visceral, thought-provoking musical happenings. For its debut at The Wallis, wild Up: Future Folk explores music from ancient India, modern California, post-war New York, as well as American works rooted in folk ethos. wild Up: Future Folk takes place Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 7:30pm in the Bram Goldsmith Theater at The Wallis. Classical KUSC's Brian Lauritzen will talk to wild Up's Chris Rountree on the Bram Goldsmith Theater stage starting at 6:30pm.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic's Noon to Midnight: A Day of New Music returns Saturday, November 18 at Walt Disney Concert Hall. As it did during last year's successful inaugural performances, the day-long event offers audiences L.A.'s most far-sighted ensembles with pop-up performances scattered throughout the various spaces of the iconic venue.

The 2017 Helpmann Awards were presented at a star-studded ceremony tonight, Monday 24 July, in front of a full house at the Capitol Theatre, Sydney on the set of Kinky Boots.

The 17th Annual Helpmann Awards will be announced at a ceremony on starting at 7pm EST Monday 24th July at the Capitol Theatre Sydney.

Audiences will be delighted by the antics of the inquisitive monkey George and his owner, the Man in the Yellow Hat, as they hit the stage with new friends, catchy music, and a whacky adventure. This musical is a first for Upper Darby Summer Stage and is guaranteed to be a hit among families with young children.
