After 15 years with the company, Rene Copeland, longtime artistic director for Nashville Repertory Theatre, is stepping down from her position with the organization, according to details included in a joint statement from the company's board of directors and Copeland, herself.

Nashville Repertory Theatre announces Broadway star and former Tennessee Titan Eddie George as this year's Honorary Chair for Nashville Rep's Broadway Brunch, Sunday, May 7, at City Winery. After a national tour of Chicago and his successful run as Walter Lee Younger in A Raisin in the Sun, George will help support the Rep in its annual fundraiser. 

Sapulpa Community Theatre held their First Annual STARS Awards Gala on Saturday, July 18th at the Theatre. Hosting the event, the Board of Directors honored patrons, and the casts and crews of the 2008-09 Season productions. Season ticket holders, donors, Board members, and the actors and technical crews of each of the six season shows voted on their favorites from those shows: two each in the categories of child actor, male and female supporting actor, and male and female actor.
