Abbey Theater and SoArts Pro recently presented Songs for a New World! These are the stories and characters of today, the Songs for a New World. The first musical from Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown, this moving collection of powerful songs examines life, love and the choices that we make.

Intrigue abounds in the comedy-fantasy Shakespeare's Bloody Deed, a world premiere, by Johnrick Hole. Based on an historical incident, the play imagines events involving Shakespeare, Queen Elizabeth, and the Earl of Essex, among others, as Shakespeare and his players attempt to save their theatre. As he walked out of the Columbus Performing Arts Center after viewing SRO's production of TITANIC: THE MUSICAL, one of the patrons turned to his friend and joked, 'Wow, I never saw that ending coming.'

In the final hour of 14 April 1912 the RMS Titanic, on her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York, collided with an iceberg and 'the unsinkable ship' slowly sank. It was one of the most tragic disasters of the 20th Century. 1517 men, women and children lost their lives.
