April Nixon made her Broadway debut in Cats in 1982. She went on to appeared on Broadway in The Who's Tommy and Smokey Joe's Cafe. Off-Broadway credits include Sistas: The Musical, The Wiz, Golden Boy, and The Pajama Game. She appeared on the West End in Damn Yankees and the US Tour of 9 to 5.
