National Asian Artists Project's Rediscover Series presented Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella- In Concert, starring Ali Ewoldt (Phantom of the Opera) and Josh Dela Cruz (Aladdin, 'Blues Clues And You') as Ella and Prince Topher, on March 2 at The Alvin Ailey Citicorp Theater.

Ali Ewoldt (Phantom of the Opera) and Josh Dela Cruz (Blue's Clues & You, Aladdin) will star as Ella and Topher in the National Asian Artists Project (NAAP) presentation of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella- In Concert, as part of its 'Rediscover Series' which explores classic American musicals, with professional artists of Asian descent, proving that great works of theater speak to all communities. As we approach TONY Awards weekend, we thought we'd catch up with Broadway veteran Baayork Lee, who last week proudly brought her National Asian Artists Project (NAAP) Chorus to the Lillian Booth Actors Home of The Actors Fund, in Engelwood, NJ, on Thursday, May 31. The revered Fund's Home takes care of our own in the industry, whether actor, stagehand, usher, company manager, producer, etc. The Chorus loves going there. This was their second year and, next year, they hope to go twice a year, as it's such a satisfying exchange on both sides. Among the many residents of interest are Fran Liebergall, former assistant to Marvin Hamlisch and Billy Porter's Mom, Cloerinda Ford.

The Tuacahn Center for the Arts us currenyly presenting Disney's MULAN: The Stage Musical, a new 75 minute show and BroadwayWorld.com was there to cover the show. The production is directed by Ryan Norton, with choreography by Veronica Yeager.

WEST SIDE STORY will preview on Friday, July 6 & Saturday, July 7 at 8pm; Sunday, July 8 at 2pm; Thursday, July 12 & Friday, July 13 at 8pm and will open on Saturday, July 14 at 8pm and continue through Sunday, August 12 at the Chance Theater, 5552 E. La Palma Ave. in Anaheim Hills.
