Plays in Mirror Stage's EXPAND UPON Series Tackle Income Inequality and the Wage Gap


Mirror Stage's Expand Upon series engages the community in meaningful dialogue, while enabling local artists to develop artistic responses to important issues. For Expand Upon round seven, the community selected the theme Income Inequality and the Wage Gap. Mirror Stage commissioned The EPICC Differential by Mary E. Brown, and Deep Veins by Nelle Tankus.

From the early days of the civil rights movement to the racial profiling of today, the question of color remains ablaze in controversy and contentiousness. The popular Feed Your Mind staged reading series presents the West Coast premiere of Honky by Greg Kalleres on February 8 and 9, 2014. Directed by Suzanne M. Cohen, Feed Your Mind: Honky features Elena Flory-Barnes, Sara Coates, Tim Gouran, Carl Kennedy, James Lapan, Andrew Litzky, Corey Spruill and Tyler Trerise. All performances will be presented at the Ethnic Cultural Theatre in Seattle's University District.

Directed by associate artistic director Karen Lund, Charley's Aunt opens on May 14 and runs through June 12, with low-price previews on May 12 and 13, plus a pay-what-you-can performance on May 19.
