“Dry Land” will make its debut at the Studio Theatre on April 27th and will continue through May 6th. The opening is set for Thursday April 27th at 7:30pm.

Behind the spectacle, sets, large casts and costumes of many classic musicals are the relatable, human stories, the conflict, the hope and the pure joy of life. Often, however, as audience members we don’t see those things as clearly when distracted by falling chandeliers or giant dance numbers. But there is something emotionally raw and fulfilling when given the chance to see a story you know so well stripped down to its essence – exposing the beauty that has always been there. This was my experience seeing Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic musical THE SOUND OF MUSIC at Theatre South Playhouse – a beautiful story performed by a talented cast in a simple but immensely effective staging.

Emmy-Nominated, Brian Thomas, a former Michael Jackson choreographer, makes his feature film directorial debut in this Award-Winning Documentary, Amy's Victory Dance. It tells the story of Amy Jordan, a former professional dancer, who survives from near-death tragedy to triumphant return to stage, and will be available for streaming on Apple TV/iTunes, Google Play and Vudu beginning on May 13, 2022. Pre-sales for this documentary begin on May 1, which is the anniversary of Amy's near-fatal accident..

Amy's Victory Dance, a documentary film by Emmy-nominee Brian Thomas, will premiere on April 2 and 5, 2020 as part of the 2020 ReelAbilities Film Festival in New York City. The uplifting and inspiring documentary follows the story of choreographer and dancer Amy Jordan, who, on a beautiful spring day in May 2009, was run over by a 15-ton New York City bus. As she regained awareness, she had no feeling on the right side of her body. Her first thought was, “Am I ever going to dance again?” Her second thought was 'If I survive the night, there will be a Victory Dance.'

Amy Jordan, dancer, choreographer and motivational speaker, will read from her new book, Dance Because You Can, on Sunday, January 13 at 1 pm at ArtStage Performing Arts Center, 801 Maplewood Drive in Jupiter. Admission is free, and books will be available for purchase and signing.

Tony nominee Karine Plantadit will present Victory Dance Project's 'Woman of Valour Award' to Broadway legend Chita Rivera, on Thursday, June 15 at 7:30pm at the opening celebration of the company's third season, at Manhattan Movement & Arts Center (MMAC), 248 W. 60th Street.

Victory Dance Project, under the Artistic Direction of Amy Jordan, will celebrate its third anniversary with three performances, running June 15 – 18 at Manhattan Movement & Arts Center (no performance on June 16). The season will open with a Celebration honoring Broadway legend Chita Rivera, who will be presented with the company's “Woman of Valor Award.” The program, entitled From This Moment On will also include a world premiere as well pieces from the company's repertory.  On June 17 and 18, the program will include special performances by students from Early Mosley's Diversity of Dance company.

Amy Jordan's training and career spans three decades of study and performances in New York, Los Angeles and Miami. She has studied classical ballet, jazz, modern dance and hip-hop with acclaimed choreographers Michael Peters, Michael Rooney, Joe Lanteri and many others.

Celebrating its fourth annual festival, Jump On the DanceWagon (J/DW) returns to the Ailey Citigroup Theater with a collection of various contemporary performances by four up-and-coming choreographers. Representing a wide range of age, experience, movement style, and culture, this year's festival introduces a new generation of choreographers to the world including Amy Jordan (Victory Dance Project), Cecly Placenti (Six Degrees Dance Company), Mala Desai (Mala's Odissi), and Nicholas Grubbs.
