Steele Spring Stage Rights has acquired the theatrical performance rights to the original Off-Broadway musical comedy Neurosis, with a book by Allan Rice, music by Ben Green, and lyrics by Greg Edwards. 

Frank is an aspiring magician with an unexpected best friend: Neurosis, his anxieties personified in a character that only he can see. When Frank meets marketing executive Abby, sparks fly, but it turns out that she has a neurosis of her own. With love, therapy, and a set of guilt-inducing parents in tow, will Frank and Abby choose their fears or each other? NEUROSIS is a modern musical comedy with a psychiatric twist-a story about finding happiness, falling in love, and dealing with that little voice in your head along the way.

While the exact location of composer Ben Green, lyricist Greg Edwards and bookwriter Allan Rice's funny and frothy new musical dating adventure, Neurosis, is never revealed, it's a safe bet that New Yorkers, who have glamorized and romanticized neurotic tendencies into a beloved badge of honor, will mightily relate to its wacky antics in the name of love.

This summer, two new musicals will arrive at the DR2 Theatre (103 E 15th St, New York, NY), playing performances on an ongoing rotating schedule.

Casting is complete for LaunchingFWD : Season 2, the second annual sneak preview concert of new musicals in development offered by FWD Theatre Project, one of the most-watched new arts organizations in town. Last year's LaunchingFWD event (starring headliner and hometown superstar Jessie Mueller in her first Chicago appearance since winning the Tony Award for Beautiful) sold out the 320 seat main room at City Winery and required overflow seating; FWD hopes this year's event will be even more impressive.
