I already googled him . I texted my mom who's a bigger Kinky expert than me and she actually knows who he is Dosen't think he's the right type to play the role . He seemed to have a nice voice when he sang on GMA thoigh
Noticed that the only cast member that Tiki follows on Instagram right now is John Jeffrey Martin. Maybe he'll close out the run as Charlie. I'd love to see that happen
I know nothing about sports, but I know Tiki Barber from just being a TV personality.
Most likely they won't announce the new Charlie until closer to the end of Connor's run, so most likely sometime toward the end of this month/early next month. Perhaps given they'll be having Tiki in the show, the new Charlie will not even be a famous person.
"Anybody that goes to the theater, I think we’re all misfits, so we ended up on stage or in the audience.” --- Patti LuPone.
Daneil Stewart Sherman is supposed to return for the last month .
Conor has a little less than a month left in the show so we should hear an announcement in any day. Wonder if the delay has to do with David Cook's hand injury??
At least in theory, this might actually be one of the smartest bits of stunt casting ever. Barber is someone who virtually everyone who lives in/near NY has heard of (whether they know anything about sports or not) and he has an entirely different fan base than people who would otherwise see Kinky Boots. Don is a role he's not entirely wrong for and, more importantly, doesn't require much singing or dancing. I think this is a coup!
I am pretty sure Daniel Stewart Sherman has played Don for the entire run of the show, including Chicago. I hope he's leaving because he has a lucrative tv-deal, he was just in the second season of the Fabulous Mrs. Maisel. You'd think he'd want to see it through.
[Nevermind, just read two posts above. Glad he'll be back for the closing month]
"Observe how bravely I conceal this dreadful dreadful shame I feel."
Just seems like odd casting. Don's supposed to be fat and out of shape. How will "In This Corner" come across now?
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
So my buddies from the David Cook fandom said that he didn't say yes or no on being the final Charlie on his weekly radio show but also said he currently has no plans but "has plans on being busy" in 2019. He's currently in PT though for a broken part of wrist/hand from a fall in October . Maybe he could be the final Charlie??
EDIT: Forgot to say he apparently mentioned Tiki and how he had big shoes to fill when somebody asked if he'd be the final Charlie ......
Ugh, Tiki is now starting this Friday(Jan. 1 instead of Monday, Jan. 21. Was hoping to see the show this weekend before he started.

If he's halfway decent, $10 says he'll be in Chicago within the next 12 months.

If there is a fan base ready and willing to purchase tickets specifically to see Tiki Barber, I'd imagine the show will run through that demographic with time to spare.
Timing still does some broadcasting for the NFL, so will he miss the next three Sundays?
Anyway, checking out Ticketmaster and the show just isn't selling. I'm Sue as the closing date gets closer there will be an uptick in sales, but the winter months will not be kind to this show.
