Photo Flash: Theatre TCC Presents The Tony Award-Winning Musical SPRING AWAKENING

The turbulent emotions and burgeoning sexuality of adolescence are harnessed in "Spring Awakening," winner of eight Tony Awards, four Drama Desk Awards and a Grammy for original cast album.

A bold and innovative adaptation of Frank Wedekind's 19th century play, this musical gained a new life on Broadway in 2006 as a folk-infused rock musical, with book and lyrics by Steven Sater and an electrifying score by Duncan Sheik. Haunting and provocative, "Spring Awakening" celebrates an unforgettable journey from youth to adulthood with a power, a poignancy, and a passion you will never forget!

The musical contains adult themes, adult language and strobe lighting, and is recommended for ages 16+. Showtimes are April 4-6 and 12-13 at 8 p.m. and April 14 at 2 p.m. All performances take place at TCC's Turner Auditorium, 444 Appleyard Dr. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and $7 for non-TCC students.
