BroadwayWorld has learned that Emmy and Tony-award winning choreographer, dancer, and director Danny Daniels passed away at the age of 92 on July 7.

Page Six has announced that actor John Heard was pronounced dead on Friday, July 21. The actor was 71. His death comes shortly after a minor back surgery, but the cause is not yet determined.

The Hollywood Reporter has announced that screen star Nelsan Ellis passed away at age 39. The cause of death is reported to be complications from heart failure.

Dina Merrill Hartley (born Nedenia Marjorie Hutton; December 29, 1923-May 22, 2017) was an American actress, businesswoman and philanthropist.  She died peacefully at home surrounded by her family.

Alf Lechner, one of Germany's most important contemporary sculptors, died suddenly at his home in Bavaria on February 25th, 2017. Lechner was 91 years old.

Veteran British screen actor, Sir John Hurt, has passed away at aged 77. His diverse career included turns on screen on film, television, and as a voice actor. He is best known for roles in a number of blockbuster films including Alien, the Harry Potter series, and as the title character in the film, The Elephant Man.

WFUV, New York (90.7FM/wfuv.org) has announced that Rich Conaty, longtime host of The Big Broadcast on Sunday nights from 8-midnight, died peacefully on Friday, December 30, in Catskill, NY, after a battle with cancer. He was 62. The station released the following statement:

It has been reported that Barbara Tarbuck, an actress best known for playing Lady Jane Jacks on General Hospital for over a decade, died Monday at her home in Los Angeles. The actress' passing comes after a bout with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease.

One of the brightest stars of the Golden Age of Movie Musicals, Reynolds came to fame at just 19 years old in the MGM classic SINGIN' IN THE RAIN. 

Just yesterday BroadwayWorld was saddened to report that Carrie Fisher, best known as Star Wars' Princess Leia Organa, died after suffering a heart attack. She was 60.

Now we have learned her mother, Debbie Reynolds, (Hollywood icon and mother of Fisher), has passed away following a stroke at the home of her son this afternoon. Reynolds was reportedly taken to the emergency room just after 1pm.
