Santa Paula Theater Center Kicks Off Season 2019 With Stephen Karam's THE HUMANS

The Santa Paula Theater Center will present Stephen Karam's hopeful and heartbreaking introspective look at family life, THE HUMANS, from Feb. 1 through March 10 on its Main Stage at 125 So, 7th St. in historic downtown Santa Paula. Performances are Fridays & Saturdays at 8:00 pm and Sunday Matinees at 2:30 pm. Tickets are $24 for Adults and $22 for Seniors and Students. THE HUMANS is not recommended for children under 16. Stephen Karam's THE HUMANS is an uproarious, hopeful, and heartbreaking play that takes place over the course of a family dinner on Thanksgiving. As darkness falls, the Blake clan's deepest fears and greatest follies are laid bare in this new American classic that won the 2016 Tony Award for Best Play. THE HUMANS opens a window into one family's life that might be our own. Told with humor and compassion, Erik and Deirdre Blake along with their daughters and elderly mother explore the adventures and tribulations that life brings to us all.

Kicking off SPTC's Season 2019, THE HUMANS is under the direction of Jessi May Stevenson and produced by Leslie Nichols. Cast members include Michael Perlmutter, Angela DeCicco, Emma-Rose Allen, Hailey Cariker, Brian Robert Harris, and Rosalee Calvillo. Scenic design is by Mike Carnahan with lighting design by Gary Richardson, costume design by Barbara Pedziwiatr, sound design by Jessi May Stevenson and Allan Noel. Rounding out the artistic team for the production is Prop Mistress Gail Heck and stage managers Colette Swan and Leticia Mattson.

SPTC continues their 2019 season with Kate Hawley's COMPLICATIONS FROM A FALL, Harvey Fierstein's CASA VALENTINA, Edward Albee's SEASCAPE and Neil Simon's LOST IN YONKERS. Season tickets are available at www.santapaulatheatercenter.org.
