I´LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS - A MOVIE WITH PETER JÖBACK Peter Jöback to star in Christmas movie "I'll be home for Christmas"

The recording of the drama. ¨I'll be home for Christmas¨ (Jag kommer hem till Jul), has started. It is based on an idea by Peter Jöback and directed by Ella Lemhagen. In the roles we see, besides Jöback himself, Johannes Bah Kuhnke, Suzanne Reuter, Jennie Silfverhjelm, Loa Falkman, Anja Lundqvist and Rennie Mirro. The film is produced by Miso Film in co-production with Film i Väst and TV4.

The wold famous Simon comes home to Sweden to celebrate Christmas. In the small community he grew up, his brother Anders arranges the annual Christmas concert and Simon has been persuaded to participate. Anders, who always lived in the shadow of his brother, is not entirely satisfied with this. Simon, on the other hand, takes it easy, until old memories come to life and he is confronted with buried family secrets.

- I have carried the idea for this film with me for a very long time, it is inspired by my own story but developed further into a feature film. The film should both entertain the audience with humor and music but also take up the theme of daring to stand for who you are, embrace his story and wear it as a crown on his head, says Peter Jöback.

Peter Jöback is one of the most popular artists of our time who move across different genres and have the world as a workplace. He played the role of Robert in "Kristina from Duvemåla" and since then, among others, has played "The Phantom of the Opera" on Broadway and in London's West End. Peter has released a number of great-selling records, including the now classic Christmas album "I'll be home for Christmas", from which music is used in the film.

I'll be home for Christmas is a production of Miso Film Sweden, in co-production with Film i Väst and TV4, with support from the Swedish Film Institute. The script is written by Daniel Karlsson (All inclusive) and producers are Sandra Harms (TV series "Modus" and forthcoming "438 days") and Rachel Bodros Wolgers.

-This film is about what happens in most families over Christmas - you both love and hate each other more than ever and the efforts to have a good time are often hampered by the success. In this case, there are also well-buried family secrets that slowly creep up to the surface, says Sandra Harms.

I'll be home for Christmas is filmed in Åre and Mellerud during the period March-May 2019.
