The Peace Center has added three concerts to the schedule - Chanticleer, America, and David Foster with Special Guest Katharine McPhee.


Chanticleer

Saturday, Oct. 26, at 8 p.m.; Peace Concert Hall; $15-$55

Called "the world's reigning male chorus" by The New Yorker, the Grammy Award-winning ensemble Chanticleer is known for its seamless blend of 12 male voices and its original interpretations of vocal literature, from Renaissance to contemporary works. Since 1981, this orchestra of voices has sold more than a million albums and won two Grammy Awards. Chanticleer was named Ensemble of the Year by Musical America in 2008 and was inducted into the American Classical Music Hall of Fame the same year.

2020 marks the 50th anniversary of perennial classic-rock favorite America. Featuring Grammy Award-winning lead singers, songwriters and guitarists Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell, the group's widely renowned singles - including "Horse With No Name," "Sister Golden Hair," "I Need You," "Ventura Highway," "Tin Man," "Lonely People" and "You Can Do Magic" - were considered cornerstones of the 1970s and 1980s Top 40 and FM rock radio.

An Intimate Evening with David Foster: Hitman Tour with Special Guest Katharine McPhee

Friday, March 27, 2020, at 8 p.m.; Peace Concert Hall; $55-$75

Few individuals can claim to have their fingerprints on more major moments in popular music than 16-time Grammy Award-winner David Foster. He has created hit songs and award-winning gold and platinum albums for a diverse array of artists, including Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, and Madonna. Foster has created culture-defining soundtracks for blockbuster films like The Bodyguard, Urban Cowboy, and St. Elmo's Fire, and received a star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame. Accomplished singer and actress Katharine McPhee (American Idol, Scorpion, Smash) will join Foster for this performance.
