From Geoff Sobelle’s website, we learn that “FOOD is an intimate dinner party performance that uses smell, taste, touch and audience instruction to feed a meditation on the ways and whys of eating. Why do you eat what you eat? Where does it come from? What does it really cost?” I quote it here, because it is entirely accurate. But that only cracks the surface of this deep performance piece that nudges us toward contemplation of the evolution of food and mankind.

Catch Me If You Can is not Molly Smith’s first musical with a con artist at the heart of it. In 2012, she directed a hit production of The Music Man, whose main character, Professor Harold Hill, could give Abagnale a run for his money. What is it about these men who have the ability to make us see what we want, and to command the stage while doing so, that lends itself to the theater?

IN TRANSIT, Broadway's first a cappella musical, directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall (Anything Goes, Nice Work If You Can Get It), began preview performances on Thursday, November 10, 2016 and officially opens on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Circle in the Square Theatre (235 West 50th Street). The Dazzle Awards are affiliated with the National High School Musical Theatre Awards ("The Jimmy Awards") presented by The Broadway League Foundation.

The Town Hall 2014 Summer Season: Broadway Preludes will launch on Friday, June 27 at 8PM with the American premiere of a lost Cole Porter treasure, The Ambassador Revue. It's always hard for me to come up with the best of anything in entertainment. With my backstage theatre background, I'm obsessed with detail, and I can't simply sit back and enjoy any show. As a writer, I'm obsessed with the words, the sentence, the grammar, etc., and I can never read strictly for pleasure. ELF returns to Broadway this holiday season at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street). On Monday September 24th at 9:30pm, a gathering of some of New York's finest guitarists and vocalists will come together at The Triad Theatre 158 West 72nd Street to for the 2nd installment of Just A Guitar Concert Series. In April 2012 the series debuted as benefit for the Grammy's MusiCares. This Just A Guitar Concert will be an eclectic evening of amazing music - featuring acoustic and electric guitar accompaniment only. Check out the performers below.

On August 20, 2012, Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa held a special preview event to highlight its upcoming Broadway Series for the 2012 - 2013 Season. Presented at the Segerstrom Concert Hall, the showcase included live presentations from the national touring companies of MEMPHIS, WICKED and the much-anticipated Brit import WAR HORSE, interspersed with videos from each of the shows coming to Orange County starting in the Fall.

The Actors Fund's 2nd Annual CelebriTee Golf & Tennis Outing took place on Monday, July 9, 2012 at the historic Knickerbocker Country Club in Tenafly, New Jersey, raising more than $50,000 in support of The Fund's Lillian Booth Actors Home in Englewood, New Jersey. The world-premiere, commissioned musical has a book by Pulitzer Prize winner Doug Wright (I Am My Own Wife, Creditors), lyrics by Amanda Green (High Fidelity), music by Trey Anastasio (lead singer of the popular band Phish) and Amanda Green, with direction by Neil Pepe (Speed-the-Plow) and musical staging by Benjamin Millepied (BLACK SWAN).

On the upcoming NBC series SMASH, Katharine McPhee plays an Iowa gal named Karen Cartwright, who auditions for the role of Marilyn on Broadway.
