Yesterday evening, June 7, cast members from ROCK OF AGES performed songs from their Tony nominated musical outside The Hard Rock Cafe as part of the 17th annual 'Taste Of Times Square' event sponsored by the Times Square Alliance. BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the performance.

The hit musical Rock of Ages comes to Toronto April 20th, 2010 and the cast is getting ready to rock! On April 5th, the cast and crew invited the press for a special preview performance of some of the songs from the show at the rehearsal hall at the Royal Alexandra Theatre. BWW was on hand to get some pictures and bring you a sneak peak at what to expect when the musical opens later this month.
Broadway's ROCK OF AGES celebrated its 1 year anniversary on Broadway last night, April 6, 2010. In honor of the rock hit musical, Tony di Napoli's restaurant presented the cast with a portrait of its star, Constantine Maroulis, to be displayed on its famed wall. Congratulations and Happy Anniversary!
In a show of semi-permanent appreciation, ROCK OF AGES honored of one of its most dedicated fans and winner of its holiday 'Deck the Halls Extreme Rock' contest, Gavin Knox, this month. For the Christmas challenge, the production invited fans to submit a performance video of a holiday carol, sung in the rockin' style of the hit show. The winner was selected by ROCK OF AGES cast members, including Constantine Maroulis, Kerry Butler, and James Carpinello. The prize package included a pair of tickets to the performance, a backstage tour, a curtain call ovation, dinner for two at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square, a copy of the original cast recording, and a Temptu tattoo, applied by the show's make-up artist, worn by the cast members on stage each night.
Broadway veteran Cara Kjellman (Billy Elliot, 42nd Street) spent Saturday, December 12 mentoring the young talent of Broadway's future as she led the morning portion of a Billy Elliot master class with Broadway Artists Alliance. Kjellman was joined by fellow cast members Ruby Rakos, Chelsea Galembo, and Danika Yarosh to answer questions and speak about their experiences with Billy Elliot as well as other stage credits to a group of eager and talented young performers ages 10 to 21.
