The Theatre Group at SBCC will present will be the comedy thriller COMMUNICATING DOORS by Alan Ayckbourn, directed by Katie Laris, February 28-March 17, 2018  in the Garvin Theatre. This intricate, time traveling, comic thriller by the British master of farcical comedy delighted London and New York audiences.

BECKY SHAW explores the eternal ins and outs of personal relationships. It asks the basic questions: to whom do we owe loyalty, and at what cost? How do we set limits, and how do we abide by them? What are the consequences if we don't?

The Theatre Group at SBCC will continue the 16/17 season with the compelling drama, OTHER DESERT CITIES by Jon Robin Baitz, directed by R. Michael Gros, October 12-29, 2016 in the Garvin Theatre

For over 25 years, stars of stage and screen have come out to bowl in support of Second Stage's award-winning seasons and to assist the theatre in its fund-raising efforts at its annual All-Star Bowling Classic. The original New York cast -- Amy Brenneman (Judging Amy, NYPD Blue, Private Practice), Beth Dixon, Virginia Kull, Kellie Overbey andLee Tergesen (Monster, Wayne's World, Weird Science) - are set for the West Coast premiere of Rapture, Blister, Burn, written by Gina Gionfriddo, in the Gil Cates Theater at the Geffen Playhouse, running through September 22, 2013. Second Stage Theatre's current season will continue with a new production of Paula Vogel's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, How I Learned To Drive, directed by Kate Whoriskey and starring Norbert Leo Butz and Elizabeth Reaser. Peter DuBois will direct the British premiere of Gina Gionfriddo's Becky Shaw, from 13 January and running until 5 March, with press night on 20 January 2011.

Artistic Director Nicholas Martin opened the 2009 Nikos Stage season directing the world-premiere of Knickerbocker by Jonathan Marc Sherman (Women and Wallace, Sophistry, Things We Want), which played July 8-19.

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director; Ellen Richard, Executive Director) presents EVERYDAY RAPTURE, written by Dick Scanlan (Tony nominee for Thoroughly Modern Millie) and Sherie Rene Scott (Tony nominee for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), with musical supervision by Tom Kitt(Next to Normal, High Fidelity), directed by Michael Mayer (Tony Award winner for Spring Awakening).
