Just last night, Transport Group presented Promises, Promises- its second musical in this season's Anne L. Bernstein Concert Series- featuring John Cariani (The Band's Visit; Tony nominee Fiddler on the Roof), Donna Lynne Champlin (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend; Sweeney Todd; Obie Award for TG's The Dark at the Top of the Stairs), Jessica Fontanta (Cinderella; TG's Once Upon a Mattress), Santino Fontana (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend; Tootsie ; Tony nominee Cinderella), Stanley Bahorek (Amazing Grace, Queen of the Mist), Lauren Blackman (Anastasia), Hannah Corneau (Hedwig and the Angry Inch), Marc Kudisch (Finding Neverland, Hand to God), Sean McLaughlin (Hello Dolly), Bruce Sabath(Cagney), Tally Sessions (War Paint), and Ali Stroker (Spring Awakening).

Point Foundation (Point) just honored actor Jonathan Groff, with the Point HORIZON Award. The Award recognizes a young trailblazer who has taken a leadership role as an advocate of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community. Groff, currently starring in HBO's critically acclaimed series 'Looking' and appearing in the Public Theater's hit musical 'Hamilton,' was nominated for a Tony Award for his performance in 'Spring Awakening.' Thirty years after directing and choreographing the Odyssey Theatre's award-winning West Coast premiere, and following a wildly successful off-Broadway revival at the York Theatre last season, Bill Castellino reunites with musical director Gerald Sternbach to charm audiences with a revitalized, updated version of Ionescopade at the Odyssey Theatre, beginning May 31. FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY presents a special concert engagement of television and film star Tamara Tunie as part of the Fall 2012 Season. After she participated in a well-received concert at Jazz at Lincoln Center in May, performing the music of Cy Colman opposite such luminaries as James Naughton and Michele Lee, Tamara was inspired to return to singing. Tamara has been singing her entire life, including early appearances at Upstairs at Greenstreet and Steve McGraw's early in her career, before film and TV took over. After making it big in movies and TV and then bringing home a Tony Award as a producer for Spring Awakening on Broadway, many people forgot or never knew that her roots were in musical theatre. She is often asked, 'Do you sing?' She is answering that question with this evening of re -imagined show tunes and jazz standards entitled 'Yes, I Sing!' The show will feature Musical Direction by Mike Renzi, acclaimed for his work with Peggy Lee, Lena Horne, Mel Torme, Blossom Dearie and more. Her engagement - which coincides with the release of her new film, Flight, opposite Denzel Washington - will be run for one week only, through November 3.

Previews are now underway at Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) for the New York premiere of Our House, a new play by Pulitzer Prize finalist Theresa Rebeck (The Butterfly Collection and Bad Dates at Playwrights Horizons, Broadway's Mauritius, co-author of Omnium Gatherum). A scathing new comedy that shakes up Reality TV, Our House is the final production of the theater company's 2008/2009 Season.

Broadway Artists Alliance, the dynamic not-for-profit educational organization that is quickly gaining a reputation for ensuring the future of great Broadway talent by bringing together Broadway artists and promising young performers, presented their annual Winter Musical Theatre Workshop February 14th through 16th.
