Kimmel Cultural Campus Announces 2021/2022 Season

Kimmel Cultural Campus has announced the much-anticipated return of in-person performing arts across their venues: the Kimmel Center, the Academy of Music, and the Merriam Theater. On September 18, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., Kimmel Cultural Campus will host a grand reopening event in Commonwealth Plaza to celebrate the start of the 2021-22 season.

Today THE FLAMING LIPS release their first-ever official live album, THE SOFT BULLETIN RECORDED LIVE AT RED ROCKS WITH THE COLORADO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA. This entire concert was produced by The Flaming Lips, Scott Booker and their long-time collaborator Dave Fridmann. On May 26, 2016, The Lips performed their universally acclaimed 1999 Warner Records album The Soft Bulletin in its entirety with the Colorado Symphony at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. This particular event has been regarded by those in attendance as one of the most awe-inspiring, moving and magical moments of a lifetime.

Crowe will helm this rarely produced Shakespearean tragedy. STNJ veteran Bruce Cromer will play the title role; Tony Award nominee Robert Cuccioli and returning company members Vanessa Morosco and Benjamin Eakeley will play leading roles amongst a cast of 20 actors that also includes young artists from the Theatre's renowned Summer Professional Training Program.
