There will be a number of key cast changes in the smash hit Andrew Lloyd Webber musical "THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA" at Her Majesty's Theatre in the West End.

The Phantom of the Opera, which is now in its 26th year on Broadway, celebrated yet another in a long line of milestones last evening, as it welcomed former LITTLE MERMAID co-stars Norm Lewis and Sierra Boggess to the cast on Monday, May 12, at the Majestic Theater. This just in! Producers Cameron Mackintosh and The Really Useful Group just announced that THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA will welcome a starry leading combination beginning Monday, May 12.

Just last week, Cameron Mackintosh and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Group announced the casting and initial tour schedule for their spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera launching a major North American Tour in Providence, R.I. at the Providence Performing Arts Center. With newly reinvented staging and stunning scenic design, this new version of PHANTOM, the most successful musical of all-time, will be performed by a cast and orchestra of 52, making this one of the largest productions on tour in North America. Argentina's Geronimo Rauch is the latest performer to don the famous white mask, playing the title role in the West End production of The Phantom of the Opera. He spoke to BWW's Amy Hanson about playing the Phantom and about his experience of performing some of musical theatre's biggest roles around the world.

Fresh from his success as Jean Valjean in "Les Miserables" at the Queen's Theatre Geronimo Rauch will join the cast as 'The Phantom'. At the same time Broadway leading man Sean Palmer will join as 'Raoul'. They will be joined by Andy Hockley as 'Monsieur Firmin', Martin Ball as 'Monsieur Andre', Claire Moore as 'Carlotta', Jacinta Mulcahy as 'Madame Giry', Cat Lane as 'Meg Giry' and Olivia Brereton and Harriet Jones who will both play 'Christine' at certain performances.

The annual festival West End LIVE - organised by Westminster City Council and the Society of London Theatre, in association with MasterCard - returned to Trafalgar Square yesterday, 22nd June and continues today, 23rd June 2013, for a weekend of free entertainment from some of London's top theatre productions and performers.
