The New Musicals Lab at the Ferguson Center for the Performing Arts at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia, is making space for new musical works by providing Artist Residencies with access to world-class facilities, funding, and student and Broadway talent.

REWIND is an original new musical about love, redemption and the magic of second chances. It tells the story of a powerful producer who derails a young girl's promising music career. When the producer meets an untimely end, he is barred from heaven, and in order to gain entrance he must, with a little help from the Universe, rewind time and help her reclaim her true destiny.

Some trailers were for new episodes of longrunning shows, and others showed teasers of what fans can expect from completely new films and series from Netflix, Amazon Prime, and more. Watch them all here!

Artpark & Company announces its 2021 season, which kicks off on May 15, 2021 with interactive tour Sonic Trails curated and co-produced by Sozo Creative and designed by the Holladay Brothers.

The curtain will finally rise on Moonlight Stage Productions' long-delayed 40th anniversary season this summer when it returns to live and in-person entertainment in June with four Broadway musicals.

Storyhouse's Moonlight Flicks returns this summer with the largest and longest open-air season of cinema to date.  The extended 2021 programme of big screen entertainment opens on the late May Bank Holiday weekend and will take place at three venues across the region. 

Following recently provided state guidelines for outdoor live events, the Moonlight Amphitheatre is pleased to welcome back patrons with May programming featuring movie nights and concerts. Tickets to these events will go on sale on Mon., April 5 at noon.

State Theatre New Jersey will present Movie Online Trivia Night on Wednesday, April 7 at 7pm, hosted by film critic Stephen Whitty. Proceeds raised support State Theatre’s Community Engagement programs. A minimum donation of $5 allows patrons to participate in the trivia challenge.

Kevin Smith Kirkwood will direct and choreograph Kinky Boots as part of Season 55. Kirkwood was a cast member of the Broadway production for the entirety of its incredible six year run. Previous to Kirkwood's Broadway turn he was a member of Weathervane Theatre's Resident Acting Company for three seasons. Weathervane credits include Big River, The Wiz, Violet, and his New Hampshire Theatre Alliance award-winning performance of Angel in RENT.

Kinoshita Group, Kumiko Yoshii, and Michael Wolk announced today simultaneously in New York and Los Angeles that The Karate Kid is being developed for Broadway as a new musical. Based on the smash hit Columbia Pictures motion picture, and featuring a book by the film's screenwriter Robert Mark Kamen and music and lyrics by Drew Gasparini, The Karate Kid will be directed by renowned Japanese director Amon Miyamoto and choreographed by MTV VMA nominees Keone and Mari Madrid.
