Wicked City Blues is a Film Noir murder-mystery musical which goes back and forth between a radioshow performed in a studio and real scenes that a radio listener might imagine about a detective whofalls in love with a femme fatale. The music captures the Golden Age of Jazz in the 1940s with songs ranging from white hot swingnumbers to bluesy torch ballads that take you through the dark streets and glitzy nightclubs of a citywithout pity. The year is 1947, as private eye Mickey Morrison falls in love with his sexy redheaded client, CharlotteBlane. But when he finds out the truth about her, everything unravels, leaving dead bodies and Charlotte holding the gun. Only Mickey is left to save her or is it Charlottes plan to kill him too?The songs are all original and capture the nostalgia of a cherished era. The show introduces the 1940s Film Noir genre to a new audience for the first time -- great for all ages.
