The Drama League (Gabriel Stelian-Shanks, Artistic Director) opened its applications today for the 2020 Drama League Directors Project, which offer unique Fellowship and Residency opportunities for professional stage directors at all levels of experience to advance their artistry, learn new skills, develop and present new work, and propel their careers. The only program of its kind in the nation, the deadline for completed applications is 11:59pm US EDT on Monday, February 3, 2020.

KRIS KRISTOFFERSON, called a?oeone of the greatest songwriters of all timea?? by Rolling Stone, AND THE STRANGERS are coming to the historic Pantages Theatre (710 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis) on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 7:30 p.m. Kristofferson's mark on American music is undeniable. The past month came with many announcements regarding stage-to-screen news! In casting news, The Little Mermaid casting continues to go underway, with reports that Javier Bardem will play King Triton. Not only do we have the film to look forward to, but it was also announced that ABC will air The Little Mermaid Live! with Auli'i Cravalho and Queen Latifah. The highly-anticipated Cats film trailer was released, and a film adaptation of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time was announced!

On Monday, July 29, 2019, The New York Innovative Theatre Awards, announced the 2019 nominees for the annual Off-Off-Broadway awards. Washington Concert Opera (WCO) announces its 2019-2020 lineup, a season that champions rare works and celebrates award-winning voices. The season will start in November with Ambroise Thomas' Hamlet. Then in April they will present Giuseppe Verdi's Simon Boccanegra, a truly stunning work that has not been heard in D.C. since 1998. In addition to these GWU Lisner Auditorium performances, the season will feature a third annual Opera Outside series at Meridian Hill/Malcolm X Park.

Goodman Theatre announces the casting and creative teams for its 2019/2020 "Theater That Moves" Season openers.
