At the Thursday preview performance for each show this season, New Line will set aside 25 tickets, and the first 25 people in line at the box office at 7:00 pm will each get a ticket for 25 cents (one ticket per person).
Due to overwhelming demand, the producers of New York's newest hit, RUTHLESS! The Musical, today put a new block of seats on sale through January 2, 2016. RUTHLESS! opened Off-Broadway July 13th to unanimous rave reviews led by Entertainment Weekly which called the show, "Uproarious! A mash-up of THE BAD SEED, GYPSY, ALL ABOUT EVE, plus the films of Douglas Sirk and John Waters!" Book and lyrics are by Joel Paley with music by Marvin Laird. Beginning its 42nd season, Theatre for Young America is offering an varied season of plays:: two Kansas City premieres; a world premiere; some traditional favorites; and a Halloween night-time presentation. The 2015-16 season begins with a Siamese cat's imaginative excursion to Mexico, and ends with a boy's magical encounter with a giant. Six of the presentations are based directly upon children's literature. The season runs from October 13, 2015 through June 24, 2016. All productions will be presented on the H&R Block City Stage, located on level B in Union Station Kansas City. Union Station is located at 30 West Pershing Road, Kansas City, Missouri.

Alexander Neef, General Director of the Canadian Opera Company, announced today the commission of a new opera for its mainstage by one of Canada's most important composers, Ana Sokolovi?. Titled La Reine-Garçon, the libretto is by Quebec playwrightMichel Marc Bouchard and based on his play of the same name. Inspired by Queen Christina of Sweden who ruled the country in the 17th century before abdicating her throne at the age of 27, La Reine-Garçonis currently in development and is scheduled to have its world premiere in the COC's 2019/2020 season.
BBC One, The Ink Factory and AMC today announced a co-production partnership for the television adaptation of John le Carré's novel “The Night Manager.” Multiple Emmy® nominee Hugh Laurie (“House”) and Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers, War Horse, Midnight in Paris) will star in the mini-series, which is set to begin filming in spring 2015. Susanne Bier, who won an Academy Award® for In a Better World, will direct.
E! Entertainment announced today that “The Soup” host Joel McHale will continue to keep fans laughing over the best moments in pop culture with an extended agreement through 2016. The actor and comedian will remain at the helm of the Emmy-nominated live, comedy show, which has been on the air for over a decade. Additionally, McHale's production company, Free Period Productions, will continue its production development deal, in which he will give the network first look rights to ideas for non-scripted series.
