Much has been talked about during the current health crisis about remaining active during social distancing and self isolation. Many people are looking at this time as a way to focus on creative work, stating that Shakespeare wrote King Lear during the plague. Other people are saying that being creative may be too lofty of a goal during a time when people are trying to get used to this new normal.

Sheffield Theatres Announce Full Casting For CORIOLANUS

Sheffield Theatres today announce the full cast for Robert Hastie's new production of Coriolanus. The production follows his critically acclaimed productions of Julius Caesar and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Joining previously announced cast member Tom Bateman are Hermon Berhane, Mudassar Dar, Stella Gonet, Esther McAuley, Remmie Milner, Theo Ogundipe, Louis J Rhone, Eddie-Joe Robinson, Kate Rutter, Malcolm Sinclair, Katy Stephens, Ben Wiggins and Alex Young. The company is completed by members of Sheffield People's Theatre, Sheffield Theatres' intergenerational theatre company.

Shakespeare Theatre Company has announced casting for Artistic Director SIMON GODWIN's directorial debut at the Theatre-a restaging of his recent acclaimed production of Timon of Athens, a co-production with Theatre for a New Audience (TFANA), produced in association with The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC). Timon of Athens will be onstage at the Michael R. Klein Theatre at the Lansburgh starting February 20 and running until March 22, 2020.
