The 'Alley Theatre @ UH' season begins with Betty Buckley, Hallie Foote, Annalee Jefferies and Veanne Cox in award-winning Texas playwright Horton Foote's The Old Friends, a Southwestern premiere.

Ralph Lee's Mettawee River Theatre Company will return for its annual September season in the lovely Outdoor Garden of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine with 'The Dancing Fox: Wisdom Tales of the Middle East,' five enchanting tales from the shared folk traditions of Jews and Arabs, including the writings of Sufi mystics, along with fables and folklore of the region. Six weekend performances, September 5, 6, 7 and 12, 13, 14 at 7:30 PM in the Garden, entrance on 111th Street & Amsterdam Avenue. Chairs are provided, but audiences may also bring blankets for closer seating in front of the chairs - and snacks! 'The Dancing Fox' is recommended for audience members eight years and older.

The State Theatre Center for the Arts, Easton, PA, announces its 88th Season. Tickets for the new season will go on sale to State Theatre Members on Thursday, August 5th, to the public on Tuesday, August 19th.

Terrence McNally's recent Tony-nominated play MOTHERS AND SONS will be the final show in SpeakEasy Stage Company's 24th Season, the theatre's Producing Artistic Director Paul Daigneault announced today. MOTHERS AND SONS will play for five weeks, May 8 - June 6, 2015, in the Roberts Studio Theatre in the Stanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts.

During the appearance, Mullally shared that she will be starring in a new comedy by Terrance McNally.

Closing Aurora Theatre Company's 22nd season is David Mamet's powerful, fast-paced drama AMERICAN BUFFALO. Tony-nominated director Barbara Damashek, who helmed Aurora Theatre Company's acclaimed productions of Fat Pig and Private Jokes, Public Places, returns to direct AMERICAN BUFFALO, featuring James Carpenter (John Gabriel Borkman, The Master Builder, The Birthday Party, The Homecoming), Paul Vincent O'Connor (Death Defying Acts, National Tour August: Osage County), and Rafael Jordan. The New York Times reports that THE PRODUCERS stars Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane will reunite in a new version of Terrence McNally's IT'S ONLY A PLAY, directed by Jack O'Brien and opening on Broadway in September 2014. No word yet on where the show will run.

Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announces the cast and creative team for Alan Ayckbourn's science fiction comedy Communicating Doors. Eleven plays penned by Alan Ayckbourn have been produced by the Alley, including the American premiere of Henceforward, directed by Ayckbourn, in 1987 and House & Garden in 2002. Alan Ayckbourn has been inducted into the American Theatre's Hall of Fame, received the 2010 Critics' Circle Award for Services to the Arts, became the first British playwright to receive both Olivier and Tony Special Lifetime Achievement Awards and was knighted in 1997 for services to the theatre.

Main Street Theater takes on the work of by Donald Margulies for the first time with its production of Time Stands Still, the latest by the Pulitzer Prize winning playwright. With previews tonight, March 22, 23, and 26, Time Stands Still opens March 27 and runs through April 19 at Main Street Theater - Rice Village, 2540 Times Blvd. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

The world premiere production of the brand new musical comedy Bullets Over Broadway, written by Woody Allen and based on the screenplay by Allen and Douglas McGrath for the 1994 film, will begin preview performances tomorrow, March 11 and officially open Thursday, April 10, 2014 at The St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street). The new musical will be directed and choreographed by five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman.
