As part of JetBlue's ongoing expansion the airline is adding new nonstop service to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) and increasing the number of flights to Nassau, Bahamas' Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS). The airline will now operate nonstop flights to 46 destinations from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood. More flights and new nonstop destinations are set to be announced later this year.

The Blank Theatre in Hollywood is now accepting scripts for its 2016-2017 Living Room Series. Submissions will be accepted between March 1 and May 31, 2016.

Lexington, KY—University Press of Kentucky author Brian Taves has been named the winner of the Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association's 2016 John G. Cawelti Award for the Best Textbook/Primer in Popular Culture for his book Hollywood Presents Jules Verne: The Father of Science Fiction on Screen. It shares this year's award with Seeing Green: The Use and Abuse of American Environmental Images by Finis Dunaway.  The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association announced today that Jeff Lynne's ELO is set to perform three shows at the Hollywood Bowl for the Fireworks Finale on September 9, 10 & 11. Joined by the strings of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, conducted by Thomas Wilkins, these concerts mark the first time the band has played at the iconic venue. With the exception of a club show to celebrate the release of the album, this is also the first time Jeff Lynne's ELO has performed in Los Angeles in nearly 30 years.
