t was announced today that Joey Parnes Productions and EMURSIVE (Randy Weiner, Arthur Karpati, andJonathan Hochwald, Principals) will bring The Public Theater's production of David Byrne and Alex Timbers' smash hit musical, Here Lies Love, back to The Public Theater's LuEsther Hall (425 Lafayette Street, New York City) for an open-ended commercial run. Under the direction of Alex Timbers,Here Lies Love played a critically raved-about, sold-out run last year at the same space, which was extended by popular demand four times. This new production will begin performances on Monday, March 24, 2014, and will officially open in early April. Here Lies Love was conceived by David Byrne, and features lyrics by Byrne, music by Byrne and Fatboy Slim, additional music by Tom Gandey and J Pardo, and choreography by Annie-B Parson. Goodspeed Musicals' Board of Trustees announced today that a change in leadership will occur at the theatre after the 2014 season. Michael Price, who has led the organization for 45 years, has decided to retire from the position of Executive Director at the end of 2014 but will remain active with Goodspeed in advisory and fundraising roles through 2016.
