According to published reports, stage veterans Chita Rivera, Tommy Tune, Elaine Paige, Janie Dee, Maria Friedman and Marvin Hamlisch will perform in a Kander & Ebb gala tribute on April 24. The event, which will take place at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, will feature songs from some of their best-know shows, including Chicago, Kiss of the Spiderwoman, and Cabaret.

Music Theatre of Connecticut MainStage, Fairfield County's Professional Theatre Company, is pleased to announce the 25th Anniversary MainStage Season. Between November 2011 and May 2012, MTC MainStage will present three fully-staged professional productions, each running for three weeks: 'Cabaret,' 'Almost, Maine' and 'I Left My Heart: A Salute to the Music of Tony Bennett.' The Museum of the City of New York (MCNY) (1220 Fifth Avenue), in its exhibition Joel Grey / A New York Life, examines the enduring impact that legendary actor Joel Grey and his adopted city have made on each other.

A once-in-a-lifetime public program, on Monday, August 1 at 6:30 pm, will feature the Oscar, Tony, and Golden Globe-winning actor Joel Grey, in conversation with playwright Jon Robin Baitz. From his breakout role as the Master of Ceremonies in Cabaret (1966) to the Wizard in Wicked (2003) to Moonface Martin in this year's revival of Anything Goes, Joel Grey has been a New York icon. The discussion will focus on Grey's life onstage and his work offstage, as a photographer with a searching eye and unerring sense of the pictorial. The program is presented in conjunction with Joel Grey/A New York Life, an exhibition currently on view at the Museum.

Despite the recent cold weather outside, inside Cygnet Theatre the heat is rising with the steamy world of the Kit Kat Klub in Kander and Ebb's CABARET. Rehearsals are underway with Artistic Director Sean Murray at the helm, Billy Thompson as Music Director and David Brannen as Choreographer.

Civic Theatre of Allentown will produce and stage Kander and Ebb's ground-breaking, iconic musical, "Cabaret" May 6 -22, 2011.

Through rare artifacts from his stage and screen career, objects from his personal collection, and his own photography, MCNY offers a unique look at New York through Grey's eyes as well as a visual retrospective of his career. A private opening night reception will take place this evening, which also happens to be Grey's 79th birthday. It will open to the public tomorrow, and remain on display through Sunday, August 14.

Rosen will direct the Tony Award-winning musical written by two of America's most distinguished and prolific songwriters, Kansas City native John Kander and Fred Ebb, with a book by Joe Masteroff.

Auditions will be in the rehearsal hall above Civic's Nineteenth Street Theatre at 527 N 19th Street in Allentown. If necessary, callbacks will be held on Tuesday, February 29, 2011. Alternate audition times will not be available.

On January 3, 2011, Cabaret's original Sally Bowles, Jill Haworth passed away at age 65 of what was reported to be natural causes. In celebration of her life, Michael Gregg Michaud composed the following tribute to the late star. Michaud was a good friend of the actress and author of the biography of Sal Mineo, who was Haworth's lover for many years.

Jill Haworth, who lit up the Broadway stage as the original Sally Bowles in CABARET, has passed away. The English actress, 65, died Monday in Manhattan of natural causes.
