The Wilma Theater has announced its 2019-2020 Season, featuring a lineup of new and innovative plays from some of the most exciting emerging voices in the field of theater. The season begins with a limited run of a world premiere stage adaptation of Etel Adnan's famous poem There, which will be co-presented with FringeArts in the 2019 Fringe Festival, co-created by Wilma Artistic Director Blanka Zizka and world-renowned visual artist Rosa Barba.

Starz, a Lionsgate company (NYSE: LGF.A, LGF.B), today announced that the first chapter of its #1 hit series 'Power,' created by Courtney A. Kemp, will close with The Final Betrayal. A heightened and unpredictable journey that raises the stakes yet again, Season 6 will play out over a super-sized, 15-episode season, premiering Sunday, August 25, 2019 on STARZ, the Starz app and Starz ON DEMAND.

The June 2019 So-fi festival announces that it will be presenting works at The Clemente's Los Kabayitos and Flamboyan Theaters (107 Suffolk St. between Rivington & Delancey) and Westbeth (463 West Street between Bethune and West 12th St) June 6th-23rd 2019.

The 29th annual Inside Out Toronto LGBT Film Festival (Inside Out), championing innovative LGBTQ filmmakers from across the globe, revealed its full feature and short film lineup. The announcement was made today by Inside Out's Executive Director Andria Wilson and the festival's Director of Programming Andrew Murphy. Inside Out, which launched the first ever annual LGBTQ Film Finance Forum, has established itself as an international home and incubator for LGBTQ emerging and established filmmakers. This year's festival will take place May 23 to June 2, 2019.

Award-winning artists' collective Rogue Artists Ensemble is thrilled to announce the Inaugural Rogue Lab Readings Series, a four-day event that includes readings of seven new works written, directed, and designed by emerging LA artists, as well as post-show discussions and receptions. The reading series will feature new plays by 2018-2019 Rogue Lab playwrights Lisa Sanaye Dring, Eric Fagundes, John Guerra, Mildred Inez Lewis, Chelsea Sutton, and Jennie Webb, and a special new play presentation by writing team Taylor Coffman and Z. NYC-based theatre collective Three Hares is presenting a new song cycle with music and lyrics by Paulo K Tirol titled, 'On This Side of the World,' running May 2 - May 12 at Access Theater in Tribeca, New York. The team is a recipient of the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council's 2019 Creative Engagement grant, which is awarded to artists with 'diverse artistic experiences' whose work 'contributes to the vibrancy and sustainability of our communities' - and that can certainly be expected this Spring. MediaRites, a nonprofit organization that provides innovative, award-winning documentary, theatre and outreach programs today announced a major milestone with CoHo Productions on its first co-produced play, The Brothers Paranormal by award-winning LA playwright Prince Gomolvilas. Theatre Diaspora, a program of MediaRites, is Oregon's only professional Asian American/Pacific Islander (AAPI) theatre company committed to portraying authentic AAPI cultural, historical, and social perspectives to reach broad audiences.  Performance dates are Oct. 25-Nov. 16, 2019 at CoHo Theatre (2257 NW Raleigh St, Portland, OR 97210) and The Brothers Paranormal will be directed by Catherine Ming T'ien Duffly, MediaRites board member and assistant professor, theatre department at Reed College.

A one-week extension has been announced today for the Signature Theatre (Paige Evans, Artistic Director; Harold Wolpert, Executive Director; James Houghton, Founder) production of Curse of the Starving Class by Sam Shepard and directed by Tony Award nominee Terry Kinney. The production will now run April 23 to June 2, 2019 with a Monday, May 13 opening night in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).

Letters to the President is a new multi-composer song cycle that reimagines letters written to Presidents throughout United States history. Each song is inspired by an individual archival letter and written by a different composer or writing team. The evening will feature composers' songs performed by a Broadway cast alongside readings of the letters that inspired them.
