THE BOOK OF MORMON features book, music and lyrics by Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone. Parker and Stone are the four-time Emmy Award-winning creators of Comedy Central's landmark animated series, "South Park." Tony Award-winner Lopez is co-creator of the long-running hit musical comedy, Avenue Q. The world premiere musical is choreographed by five-time Tony Award-nominee Casey Nicholaw (Monty Python's Spamalot, The Drowsy Chaperone) and is directed by Nicholaw and Parker.

THE BOOK OF MORMON, which follows a pair of mismatched Mormon boys sent on a mission to a place that's about as far from Salt Lake City as you can get, has been nominated for 14 Tony Awards, including Best Musical; 12 Drama Desk Awards, including Best Musical; 6 Outer Critics Circle Awards, including Best Musical and the Drama League Award for Best Musical. THE BOOK OF MORMON is also the recipient of the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Musical.

THE BOOK OF MORMON Breaks House Record in Philadelphia; Runs Through 9/14

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has broken the house record in Philadelphia, PA for the week ending August 10 the Forrest Theatre grossing $1,678,495.00 for a standard 8-performance week. This tops the previous record, held by Jersey Boys in 2012 of $1,617,700.00.

The fourth annual 'Night Of A Thousand Judys' - presented by The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre - has announced that the initial talent lineup, which will include Jane Monheit (Grammy Award nominated jazz star), Sarah Dash (R&B/Disco legend of LaBelle), Rory O'Malley (Tony Award nominee, The Book of Mormon,) Julia Murney (Wicked, The Wild Party), Erin McKeown (folk-rock singer/songwriter) and Gabrielle Stravelli (Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra). Additional special guests will be announced soon. The Monday, June 16 Pride concert to benefit The Ali Forney Center will take place at Merkin Concert Hall at the Kaufman Center (129 West 67th Street in Manhattan). Called 'a rambunctious, uproarious, unpredictable all-star concert' by The Wall Street Journal, 'Night Of A Thousand Judys' will honor the iconic Judy Garland with special skits, tributes and songs from her legendary career as movie star, recording artist and stage performer. This show will also help celebrate the landmark 75th Anniversary of The Wizard of Oz. There will be a pre-show VIP reception at 6:30 PM and the performance at 8:00 PM. For the week ending 2/9/14, THE BOOK OF MORMON broke the house record at Atlanta's Fox Theatre, grossing $2,802,606.00. This milestone represents the highest eight performance gross in Broadway touring history. The show breaks a record previously set by WICKED in 2012.
