When Johnnie & Friends can't find a last-minute replacement to play Santa Claus in their annual holiday show, it seems like their brand-new production is sunk. So, when the kindly doorman at The Triad agrees to step in and play St. Nick, Johnnie hires him on the spot. There's only one problem: this new friend seems to think he actually is Father Christmas and Johnnie stopped believing in Santa decades ago.

She is one part chanteuse, one part monologuist, one part den mother, and one part suggestive vixen. And she is 100 percent fun. Her show is a treasure trove of swinging tunes and she has gathered a smoking trio of musicians in drummer, David Silliman, bassists Skip Ward and her longtime partner in art, musical director Gregory Toroian.

John Lithgow is featured in a special, new audio recording released by 92Y: a reading of William Maxwell’s novel, So Long, See You Tomorrow. The novel is Lithgow’s personal favorite, and in the recording, commissioned by 92Y’s Unterberg Poetry Center, the Emmy Award-winner reads it in its entirety.

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts today announced a new commission, an evening-long performance commemorating Juneteenth, I Dream a Dream That Dreams Back at Me, A Juneteenth Celebration. Conceived and curated by Carl Hancock Rux, the site-specific experience will unfold in four distinct parts across the Lincoln Center campus on June 19, 2021.
