Disney Theatrical Productions and The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts announced today that tickets for the long-awaited premiere engagement of Disney's THE LION KING go on sale to the public on Saturday, December 1, 2018. Disney's THE LION KING will leap onto the Kravis Center stage on Wednesday, April 24 for a 2-week engagement through Sunday, May 5.

Forty years to the day of the first ever performance of Harold Pinter's Betrayal on 15 November 1978, The Jamie Lloyd Company announces that Golden Globe, Olivier and Evening Standard Award winner Tom Hiddleston will play Robert in Jamie Lloyd's new production at the Harold Pinter Theatre from 5 March 2019 (press night 13 March) for a strictly limited season ending on 1 June. Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full cast and creative team for Paradise Square: An American Musical. The world premiere is helmed by acclaimed director Moises Kaufman, with choreography by the legendary Bill T. Jones and a book by Marcus Gardley, Craig Lucas, and Larry Kirwan. Music by Jason Howland and Larry Kirwan, with lyrics by Nathan Tysen, and based on the songs of Stephen Foster. Paradise Square is produced by special arrangement with Garth H. Drabinsky in association with Peter LeDonne and Teatro Proscenium Limited Partnership.

The Iridium has announced that legendary and multi-award winning, multi-platinum selling singer, songwriter and actress Macy Gray will return for four New Year's Eve performances on December 30th (8pm &10pm shows) and December 31st (7pm & 10:30pm NYE Ball Drop Party). A celebration of the life and Broadway legacy of Marin Mazzie will take place at the Gershwin Theatre today, October 25th, beginning at 1:30pm, for friends, family and the theatre community. There will be performances and testimonials from loved ones and theatre colleagues to pay tribute to the three-time Tony Award nominee who passed away on September 13th after a three-year tenacious struggle with ovarian cancer. Disney Theatrical Productions and The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall announced today that tickets for the long-awaited premiere engagement of Disney's The Lion King go on sale to the public on Friday, November 2, 2018. Disney's The Lion King will leap onto the Van Wezel stage on Thursday, March 14 for a 3-week engagement through Sunday, March 31. The official opening night for Disney's THE LION KING is Friday, March 15 at 7:30 p.m.

This October, Wynn Nightlife debuts “Art of the Wild,” a three-day music series featuring parties from Brooklyn's All Day I Dream, Barcelona's elrow, Jamie Jones' Paradise, Ibiza's Circoloco, Guy Gerber's Rumors and Los Angeles-based partner Framework. Taking these words to heart, NYU Skirball will present On Your Marx a *pay-what-you-think-it's-worth, two-week commemoration of the great philosopher Karl Marx's 200th birthday, featuring theater, dance and choral performances. They are then free to determine the worth of the production and donate accordingly (demand) thus enabling the artists to "earn money in order to live and write."

In order to relieve their boredom, they decide to throw a party where everyone drinks and parties with abandon, and the two begin a dangerous flirting game, taunting each to the brink of violence. Pushed to limit, Burrs is close to losing control, and he has a gun. The Wild Party is dark, brilliant show with a thrilling, pitch-perfect score. BroadwayWorld Detroit had a chance to speak with Jerry Haines, the director of The Wild Party, at Stagecrafters before it opens on September 7th in Baldwin Theatre in Royal Oak.

In what promises to be an exciting event within the Pinter at the Pinter season, Lee Evans will appear in an eclectic mixed bill alongside stage and screen favourite Meera Syal. They join the previously announced Keith Allen and Tamsin Greig from 25th October to 8th December, for 23 performances only.

The Group Rep's well received production of Neil Simon's classic farce RUMORS, directed by Doug Engalla, produced by Alyson York, has been extended due to critical acclaim and sold out houses. The play about five neurotic couples who gather for a dinner party celebrating one couple's 10th anniversary, goes wildly awry when guests arrive early only to discover their host has shot himself, the hostess and servants are missing, and dinner not ready. Confusions and miscommunications mount, as the evening spins off into farcical hilarity. The play, which opened June 15, will run through August 11th at the Lonny Chapman Theatre in North Hollywood, at the edge of the NoHo Arts District.
