Wayside Theatre's Spring Emerging Artist production will be The Tempest by William Shakespeare, in cooperation with Barns of Rose Hill in Berryville, VA. It will be held tonight, April 19 at 7:30pm and April 20th at 2:30pm and 8:00pm. This production will be directed by Wayside Theatre Education Director, Molly MacLagan, and comes as part of Wayside Theatre's 'Education and the Arts' month. The cast and crew features students from Clarke, Warren, Frederick, and Shenandoah Counties, as well as West Virginia.

BoHo Theatre presents Hauptmann, an examination of truth and media indictment, by lauded Chicago playwright John Logan. The production runs March 22nd through April 21st at the Heartland Studio in Rogers Park. Hauptmann is directed by Founding Artistic Director Stephen M. Genovese, who directed the critically acclaimed BoHo productions of The Rainmaker, The Glorious Ones, Sideshow, and I Am My Own Wife. The production features Jeremy Trager in the role of Richard Hauptmann. Trager was recently seen in BoHo's productions of The Spitfire Grill and Tartuffe. Hauptmann represents the Bohemian Pillar of Truth in BoHo's 2012/2013 Season.

The Utah Shakespeare Festival recently announced the casting of the first eight actors for the 2013 season. All are familiar faces, having appeared at the Festival in the past. Five of the entertainment world's leading ladies will perform in New Orleans in 2013 as Seth Rudetsky's popular Broadway Concert Series makes the leap to NOCCA's Lupin Hall from its summer home at The Art House in Provincetown, MA. Patti LuPone, two-time Tony winner for Gypsy and as the legendary original Evita, will appear for two shows only on January 7th at 6:30 and 8:30. Sutton Foster, two-time Tony-winner for this year's Anything Goes and previously for Thoroughly Modern Millie and star of the ABC Family series Bunheads arrives for one show only on March 2nd at 7:30.
