The Skivvies' Nick Cearley to Lead AN ACT OF GOD at B Street Theatre

A series of tweets on the parody account @TheTweetofGod landed American comedy writer David Javerbaum a book deal. Eventually that book, The Last Testament: A Memoir By God, was adapted for the stage and renamed as An Act of God. The stage version premiered at Broadway's Studio 54 Theatre in 2015 with Big Bang Theory sitcom star Jim Parsons in the leading role. A second run featured Will & Grace's Sean Hayes in the leading role, and now the B Street Theatre will give the holy role to Nick Cearley (Buyer & Cellar).

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team of the Globe-commissioned world premiere adaptation of The Imaginary Invalid written by Moliere and reinvented by the acclaimed theatre group Fiasco Theater. Fiasco last delighted Globe audiences with their inventive reimagining of Into the Woods in 2014. This new take on the hilarious classic tale is directed by Fiasco Co-Artistic Directors Jessie Austrian and Noah Brody.

Stephanie Cunningham Directs THE FLICK for the Mendocino Theatre Company

Stephanie C. Cunningham, a theatre director and educator based in New York City, arrives this month to direct the Mendocino Theatre Company's production of Annie Baker's 2014 Pulitzer Prize-winning play The Flick, the third play of their 40th anniversary season.   This will be her third collaboration with MTC;  she previously directed the 2015's Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike and last year's production of Buyer & Cellar.  "I am thrilled to be returning to Mendocino," she said in a recent interview. "This warm and fun community has felt like a home away from home for the last two seasons."
