The Edinburgh University Theatre Company will present Stephen Schwartz's Pippin, radically readapted as a piece of fast-paced gig theatre. The show follows the eponymous Pippin as he is lead into different corners of life, desperately searching for fulfilment within a seemingly apathetic world.

This dynamic new take on Schwartz's iconic, troubling tale of war, lust, politics and suicide combines the traditional musical narrative with a torrent of sound and music creating a satiric and riotous piece of theatre and is a rare opportunity in which rights have been granted by Schwartz to stage a musically rearranged version of the production.

Pippin is created and co-directed by Stella Green and Tom Whiston, both students at Edinburgh University.
