Review: BOEING BOEING at Wroclawski Teatr Komedia

"Boieng Boieng" has an answer to a question: Can we have it all? Can we have a lot of women and get along with it if we can pick up just one?

The play is a really pleasant interpretation of a farce written by French playwright Marc Camoletti - the play was listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the most performed French play throughout the world.

The action is fast and vibrant, lead characters are giving their best and it's one of rare times where men are glowing more that women and it's a good thing!

Two mains characters: Pawel (hilarious Krzysztof Grebski) and Max (lively Wojciech Dabrowski) met after long time. The first one has just come from small town and find his old friend - he discovers how unusual is life he is living. Max has not one, not two but three fiancées - all flying hostesses working for different companies. There is an American girl (Janet - Magdalena Margulewicz), a German woman (Johanna - Marzena Kopczynska) and a Polish stewardess (Jola- Katarzyna Skoniecka)- dressed up with all stereotypes you can possibly imagine - there are sweet and cute, having their owns mettles too!

Max is well prepared and organized but one day appearance of Boeing jet disrupts everything - things get more and more complicated. All his fiancées appear at the same time in his apartment...

Jokes are light but not pretentious, supporting role of maid (Dorota Wierzbicka-Matarrelli) is making events even more hilarious. It's obvious that director (Wojciech Dabrowski) loves women and pays tribute to them but in a very twisted way.

You will find everything what is important in a good comedy: funny jokes, the finest actors, good vibes and what is the most important thing - artists having fun. Small blunder is just amazing opportunity to situational joke which audience loves more that anything. If you look for a nice evening in a good company and some well deserve laugh you came to the right address. And at the end of the play you will know the answer: can we have it all?
