Fun Home, the highly-anticipated, Award-winning American musical opened Sunday night, April 19. With music by four-time Tony Award nominee Jeanine Tesori, a book and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Lisa Kron and direction by Drama Desk nominee Sam Gold, Fun Home started previews on Broadway at the Cir cle in the Square Theatre (235 West 50th Street), on March 27. Home Street Home, a new musical, will play an 11-performance run between February 20 - March 7, 2015 at Z Space, located in the Mission District in San Francisco, the producers announced today. Home Street Home features music by punk legend Fat Mike (NOFX), lyrics by Fat Mike, Jeff Marx (Tony Award winner, Avenue Q) & Goddess Soma (AVN Award winning writer/director), and book by Goddess Soma & Fat Mike. The multiple Tony Award-winning musical adaptation of Spring Awakening, with book and lyrics by Steven Sater and music by Duncan Sheik, is set to receive an innovative, immersive production performed simultaneously in American Sign Language and spoken English. Presented by Deaf West Theatre in association with The Forest of Arden, Spring Awakening opens tomorrow, September 13, at Inner-City Arts in downtown L.A.
