The Vision: 20 years ago, in January of 1992, Broadway was a different place: Times Square and the environs were dangerous and down at the heels, the World Wide Web had just launched, and the Soviet Union had come to an end just a month before. So much has changed on Broadway in that time that it begs the question 'What will Broadway be like 20 years from now?' But there's an even better, more important question than that: 'What's the best that Broadway can be 20 years from now?' And that's the question TEDxBroadway attempts to answer.

The Jujamcyn Theaters is a theatrical producing and theatre-ownership company in New York City. For many years Jujamcyn was owned by James H. Binger, former Chairman of Honeywell, and his wife Virginia McKnight Binger. The organization is now owned by its President, Jordan Roth, and President Emeritus, Rocco Landesman. Yesterday at a press conference in front of Broadway's St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street), Broadway Impact co-founder Rory O'Malley (2011 Tony Award® nominee) announced that several same-sex couples from the Broadway community will get married onstage at the St. James Theatre on July 25 immediately following that evening's performance of HAIR. These unions will be among the very first in New York State, following the landmark bill recently passed by state legislators. The press conference also included Public Theater Artistic Director Oskar Eustis, Jujamcyn Theatres President Jordan Roth and the cast of HAIR.
