On Sunday February 23 at Joe's Pub, BroadwayWorld.com celebrated the best New York cabaret performers, performances and shows during 2013 as voted on by more than 7,500 fans at the end of last year. With BroadwayWorld's lead New York cabaret columnist and reviewer Stephen Hanks as the host, many of the Award winners appeared to perform, and as you'll see in these videos they put on an amazingly entertaining show.

The Bridges of Madison County, the new musical by the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning team of Marsha Norman ('night Mother, The Color Purple) and Jason Robert Brown (The Last Fie Years, Parade) will begin performances this Friday, January 17, 2014, at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street). The sitzprobe for The Bridges of Madison County was held at Carroll Music Studios on January 9, 2014. Go behind the scenes with the cast and orchestra below!

Today in 1998, Parade opened at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre, where it ran for 85 performances. Parade is a musical with a book by Alfred Uhry and music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown. The production was directed by Harold Prince and starred Brent Carver as Leo Frank, Carolee Carmello as Lucille Frank, and Christy Carlson Romano as Mary Phagan. The musical won Tony Awards for best book and best score (out of nine nominations) and six Drama Desk Awards. The show has enjoyed a U.S. national tour and numerous professional and amateur productions in both the U.S. and abroad.

Last night, the Dramatists Guild Fund hosted their Annual Gala at the Edison Ballroom in New York. This year's event honored legendary playwrights, composers, and lyricists who have greatly impacted the American theater. The CAMEO 2013 season marks the 10-year anniversary of summer musicals in the Medina Performing Arts Center. In its first production in 2003, My Fair Lady, Medina native Rachel Spetrino was just 14 years old and was cast as a flower girl. This year Ms. Spetrino returns to direct her second CAMEO production, Songs for a New World, which opens August 9. Musical direction will be by another Medina high school alum, Tom Bonezzi.
