Cyndi Lauper and Billy Porter, who worked together on the hit Broadway musical 'Kinky Boots,' stopped by this morning's Today to talk about touring with Cher and the release of Porter's new album

Legendary singer and Tony Award winner Cyndi Lauper appeared on this morning's TODAY on NBC to perform her classic 'Time After Time,' and reflect on the 30 years since her debut album.

The cast and crew of Kinky Boots celebrated the show's one year anniversary on Broadway by filming their own music video for the hit song #Selfie by The Chainsmokers. Check it out here!

It's been almost a decade since the Pittsburgh-born Billy Porter released a solo album, and since then much has changed for the award-winning artist, who grew up singing in the Pentecostal church. Perhaps best known for his Tony Award-winning role as 'Lola' in the hit Broadway musical Kinky Boots, Porter's musical background is based in gospel, soul and R&B. He released his first solo album, Untitled, on A&M Records, and a second album, At The Corner of Broadway + Soul, on Sh-K-Boom Records. On April 15, 2014, Porter releases his debut on Concord Records, Billy's Back on Broadway. KINKY BOOTS, featuring music and lyrics by Cyndi Lauper, was the winner of this year's Grammy Award for 'Best Musical Theater Album.' The honor was given out at the GRAMMY pre-show ceremony and accepted by Lauper. Watch the musical take home the award below!

Original KINKY BOOTS cast member and two-time Tony nominee Stark Sands gave his final performance in the Cyndi Lauper, Harvey Fierstein, and Jerry Mitchell's Broadway hit, just yesterday, January 26. Sands will be succeeded by Andy Kelso as 'Charlie Price' on Jan. 28. In the video below, Fierstein and Billy Porter bid adieu to their friend in a special speech during the curtain call.

Stephen followed a candle lit pathway and was greeted by many of his castmembers and friends who each gave him a single rose.
